uVision 2 use with Silabs USB Debug adaptor?

Can't seem to make the Silabs USB Debug Adapter work with the older uV2 IDE, even though Silabs provides a uV2 driver for that device.

Symptom is that uV2 crashes hard to Windows when a download is attempted.

Has anyone got this to work?

.. are only in synch if both are the same 'age'.

It is a recurring issue "I updated SILabs and now Keil can not run it" or "I updated Keil and now SILabs can not run from Keil"
