Has anyone seen a project, that Has a microphone, And a display That will decode Morse code?

I thought that would Be a very handy tool That bloaters and other people that Still use Morse code could have.
Not really sure how complex It would be, i would think you could analize the Audio fOr "Beeps and Dashes" and then Just output the letters onto a small LCD lit display.

If you wanted to take It one Step further, add A small keyCboard and speaker and transmit the other way.

Any thoughts?

if no-one Know one, i will Take on the Idea. Maybe In c or maybe pasCal or maybe ada but not asemblar ;)

Without looking: Yes, there must be many such projects in existence. A number of years ago, a log of magazines had projects that either encoded or decoded morse and often intended for quite fast transmissions. This later migrated into packet radio before the world got access to cheap Internet access points.

But since morse is still a very important encoding method to reach very far on limited transmission power, there are still a lot of interest in it. The problem with detecting morse is that the sound you talk about will not be so fun to decode when the receiver is hardly able to pick up the transmission.
