New! V3.62c Find in files does not work

I am using recent version of IDE V3.62c. FInd in files does not work. It never finds any occurance of selected text, not even in the current file.

It "works" (as far as it goes) for me!

Are you sure you're searching in the right place?
Note that it will only search files in the specified folder and (optionally) its subfolders - there is no way to "search whole project" if the project's files are in different folder structures.

When you select 'Current Project' in the 'In folder' box, that just means "the folder containing the .uv2 Project File"; it does not search all files in the project - unless they all happen to be in the same folder as the Project File (or, optionally, its subfolders)

This is a very serious limitation of the UV2 & UV3 Find In Files facility, IMO.

I also struggle with the poor find in files feature, has this been raised with Keil by anybody.

I'm sure I raised it years ago with uVision-2.

There is a disappointingly large number of uVision-2's deficiencies still present in uVision-3

Yes this method, FindInFiles, does not work.

Yes, it does "work" - but the way it "works" may not be the way that you (or I) want it to work.
