How many non commercial Gas fired crucible furnaces with Ethernet do you think there are? And written in C for the 8052. If I were you I would collect the pieces for this project.
As it happens, I have written the source code for a gas fired 'cricible' furnace! Excellent! Oh, hang on... I wrote it in prolog, not C.
But did you deduction engine supply tcp or rs32? Especially rs32 is a bit hard to implement in Prolog. You first have to deduce exactly what it is. Since we are talking about a furnace, I'm bound to think that it is related to this Rocketdyne project: www.astronautix.com/.../rs32.htm
I saw the Gingery series of books on the foundry, lathe, drill press, etc. - but had joined too late to get them.
I built a foundry very similar to Gingery's electric one several years ago and use it to melt aluminum for art projects as a hobby. One of these days I would like to build a botter controller to do ceramics with it, as well as try my hand at casting glass.
If anyone would like to see the books again - I would greatly appreciate it.
