Harri Siirtola Sorry if this becomes a duplicate, my first try didn't have a title line and didn't appear to the forum. I built a proto board with this chip and downloaded the versio 1.8 utility package from Cypress web site. There are several choices for devices. I tried to use "ezusb.sys" and Anchor Chips EZ-USB (2235) - EEPROM missing from "ezusbw2k.inf" in driver installation sequence, still the Device Manager claims the device is not present or working. Are these files valid for this chip and W98? There was some traffic on the USB data lines during setup, none afterwards. The KEIL Control Panel starts fine but gets random data for descriptor queries etc, no wonder as the data lines stay still. What gives?

Read-Only Author Harri Siirtola Posted 22-Sep-2000 16:23 GMT Toolset C51	Found the problem! Harri Siirtola My shunt resistor for the crystal was way too small. It caused 2MHz oscillation instead of 12MHz and timing problems were obvious. Everything seems fine now.
