NXP FTF Connects

San Jose, Ca, USA — Jun 20, 2017

Join ARM at NXP FTF Connects in San Jose, California, June 20-21, 2017. NXP FTF Connects provide tailored live training to embedded engineers on a broad range of solutions. The instructor-led training courses are created to enable embedded engineers to accelerate the development of innovative end–products utilizing NXP technologies.

The ARM team will be on hand to show off our development solutions for Kinetis, S32K and heterogeneous i.MX systems. One particular wave of innovation in the world of ARM is an increase in heterogeneous CPU designs, where different classes of ARM processor are implemented on the same device. NXP are at the forefront of this wave. For example the i.MX7 family of devices implement both an ARM Cortex-A7 application processor and a Cortex-M4 embedded processor. In our demo we'll show you how to overcome some of the challenges that such a design brings to a developer with the line-up of ARM development tools.

We will also be on hand to answer questions on our support of the S32K devices which are targeted towards markets that require functional safety. The ARM Compiler Qualification Kit that is part of MDK-Professional is a documentation package specifically designed to help developers achieve certification against safety standards such as IEC 61508 and ISO 26262. The kit provides evidence of the robustness and maturity of the ARM Compiler toolchain, saving months of effort for users who would otherwise have to create their own evidence for justifying their toolchain selection. The ARM Compiler toolchain is used in an extensive range of products that are certified against safety standards, covering Industrial Control, Automotive, Railway, and Medical applications.
