ARM showcases DS-MDK at ENOVA

Paris, France — Sep 14, 2016

ARM joins NXP at ENOVA 2016 and showcases the Keil MDK and DS-MDK software tools for the complete NXP microcontroller portfolio. The NXP Smarter World Tour Truck will be featured at the ENOVA show, and ARM will demonstrate software development solutions for the ARM processor-based NXP device offering.

In addition, ARM will present the technical session "ARM Development Solutions for Heterogeneous i.MX Systems".

The NXP i.MX6 and i.MX7 series utilizes a single or dual ultra-high efficient Cortex-A processor and a Cortex-M4 processor with floating-point unit. A Cortex-A and Cortex-M processor-based heterogeneous computing system combines best-in-class technology for application software and deterministic real-time I/O. The Cortex-A application processor runs a feature-rich operating system, such as Linux, and provide enough computing power for demanding applications. The energy-efficient Cortex-M processor typically executes a bare-metal RTOS that is easy to use and tailored to meet real-time requirements for deterministic I/O operations. Such Cortex-M systems enable fast start-up times and can be permanently 'on' in battery-powered systems. The two processor systems typically exchange information via a fast, interrupt driven inter-process communication and shared memory.

Don't miss this opportunity to learn about the benefits of heterogeneous computing systems.
