ARM & UML Seminar

Philips, Keil Software, and Willert Software Tools are conducting a series of one-day seminars that introduce the ARM Microcontroller Architecture, the Keil Development Tools, and Embedded UML programming. Each seminar is conducted in the German Language and is composed of four sessions:

  • Session 1 (9:30-11:00):
    Philips LPC2000 ARM-Powered Microcontroller
    • Introduction to High-speed Flash based Philips LPC ARM Microcontroller Architecture
    • On-chip Peripherals including application guidelines
    • Available Devices and future components of the LPC2100 Device Series
  • Session 2 (11:30-13:00):
    Keil Development Suite for ARM
    • Overview of the Keil CARM Compiler, µVision IDE, Debugger and Device Simulator.
    • Hints for porting existing 8 and 16-bit applications to ARM powered devices.
    • Features of the Advanced RTX Real-Time Kernel with TCP/IP Networking and Flash File System.
  • Session 3 (14:30-15:30):
    Willert Software Tools Embedded UML
    • Introduction to the UML (Unified Modeling Language) for Object Oriented Programming
    • Design of Real-Time critical applications using UML
    • Organizing complex data and program structures using UML
  • Session 4 (16:00-17:30):
    Working with the Keil CARM Compiler and iLogix Rhapsody
    • Creating a project with iLogix Rhapsody and the Keil Development Suite for ARM
    • Benefits of Device Simulation when testing and debugging UML designed applications
    • Programming and Debugging of LPC2000 Hardware with the Keil ULINK USB-JTAG Adapter
