ARM and UML Software Seminar

Keil, NXP (founded by Philips) and Willert Software Tools are conducting a series of one-day seminars that introduce the ARM processor-based Microcontroller Architecture, the Keil Development Tools, and Embedded UML programming. Each seminar is conducted in the German Language and is composed of four sessions:

  • Session 1 (9:00-11:00):
    NXP LPC2000/3000 ARM-Powered Microcontroller
    • Introduction to High-speed Flash based Philips LPC ARM Microcontroller Architecture
    • On-chip peripherals including application guidelines
    • Available devices and future components of the LPC2xxx and LPC3xxx device series
  • Session 2 (11:30-13:00):
    Keil Development tools and RTX RTOS Kernel
     
    • Overview of the RealView Microcontroller Development Kit featuring the, µVision IDE, Debugger and Device Simulator.
    • Hints for porting existing 8 and 16-bit applications to ARM powered devices.
    • Features and concepts of the RTX Real-Time Kernel and using it in embedded applications.
  • Session 3 (14:30-15:30):
    Willert Software Tools Embedded UML
    • Introduction to the UML (Unified Modeling Language) for Object Oriented Programming
    • Design of Real-Time critical applications using UML
    • Organizing complex data and program structures using UML
  • Session 4 (16:00-17:30):
    Working with the Keil Real-Time Library
    • Embedded application development using the components of the Real-Time Library
    • TCP/IP networking, USB and CAN implementation
