Actel, Avnet and Keil™ are holding a series of one day SpeedWay Design Workshops™ that focus on Actel's SmartFusion™ intelligent mixed signal FPGAs, the industry's first intelligent mixed signal FPGA. SmartFusion is the only device that integrates an FPGA, hard ARM® Cortex™M3-based microcontroller subsystem (MSS) and programmable analog, offering full customization, and ease-of-use.

Keil will be on hand at several locations to present the Keil Microcontroller Development Kit (MDK-ARM), with the award winning µVision4 IDE, and the ULINK2 debug unit. The latest release of MDK-ARM supports the Cortex-M3 microcontroller sub-system on the SmartFusion devices and includes set-up files, device-specific views, and example projects. MDK features the industry-standard compiler from ARM, the Keil µVision4 IDE, the fully functional RTX RTOS, and sophisticated analysis tools. MDK provides a complete development environment for creating, debugging and verifying embedded applications.

Join Avnet Memec's factory trained Engineers for a Speedway workshop that will train you on the details and tools for SmartFusion, which include:

  • Hard 32-bit ARM Cortex-M3 processor
    • Work with FREE SoftConsole Eclipse-based IDE
    • Understand components in the Microcontroller Subsystem
  • Proven ProASIC(R)3 FPGA fabric
    • Work with Libero(R) IDE for FPGA designs (Synplicity(R) and ModelSim(R))
    • Learn the capabilities of Actel's No-Compromise FPGA Fabric
  • Full-featured programmable analog
    • Enable Analog signal blocks within Libero IDE
    • Understand how SmartFusion's Analog Compute Engine assists Analog designs

Attendees will receive:

  • SmartFusion Evaluation Kit ($99 Value)
  • Copy of presentation and lab material
  • Useful SmartFusion support documentation
