8051Fx Watchdog Example Program

This example program shows how to configure PCA Module 4 as a watchdog timer on 8051Fx-compatible devices. In this example, the watchdog is configured to 'overflow' after 0xFF00 clock cycles.

To test this program...

1. Start the debugger.
2. Run the program.

Each time the watchdog overflows, the message PCA Watchdog Timer will invoke Reset displays in the command window. You may set breakpoints in the program and view the PCA Timer and PCA Modules dialogs (from the Peripherals/Timer menu).
