ARM Cortex-M3, 108 MHz, 512 kB ROM, 128 kB RAM

The MAX71616/MAX71617/MAX71636/MAX71637 are energy metering devices capable of accuracy down to 0.1% over a dynamic range of 5000:1. Each device contains three computing cores: a 32-bit fixed-point DSP compute engine a 32-bit MAXQ30 processor dedicated to sensitive metrology tasks a robust ARM Cortex-M3 responsible for communications and other supervisory tasks This separation of tasks makes the device ideal for applications in which the integrity of the energy measurement and reporting process is critical. No code fault or hardware failure on the ARM core or its associated logic can interrupt or affect the accumulation and recording of energy by the compute engine and the MAXQ30 processor. This enhanced operational security makes the ZEUS family ideal for applications that demand the highest reliability and data integrity.
