Peripheral Simulation

For Atmel AT89LP2052 — Single Cycle CPU

Simulation support for this peripheral or feature is comprised of:

  • Accurate simulation of special on-chip features.

These simulation capabilities are described below.

Single Cycle CPU

The Single Cycle CPU uses an advanced CPU core that fetches a single byte from memory every clock cycle in contrast to the standard 8051 which requires 6 clock cycles for the same single-byte fetch. This reduction in clock cycles results in 6 to 12 times more throughput than the standard 8051.
