These simulation capabilities are described below. Special Function Registers Dialog
The Special Function Registers Dialog displays chip identification and other information specific to the ARM chip. Chip ID Group - SF_CIDR (Chip ID Register) contains the chip ID number.
- EXT (Extension Flag) set if an extended chip ID exists.
- NVPTYP (Non Volatile Program Memory Type) displays the NV program memory series.
- ARCH (Chip Architecture) displays the chip architecture.
- VDSIZ (Volatile Data Memory Size) displays the amount of volatile data memory supported.
- NVDSIZ (Non Volatile Data Memory Size) displays the amount of non-volatile data memory supported.
- NVPSIZ (Non Volatile Program Memory Size) displays the amount of non-volatile data program supported.
- VERSION (Version of the chip) displays the chip version.
Chip Extension Group - SF_EXID (Chip ID Extension Register) is reserved for future use.
Reset Status Group - SF_RSR (Reset Status Register) indicates a reset request from either an external source (NRST) or the Watchdog timer.
Protect Mode Group - SF_PMR (Protect Mode Register) contains the Protect Mode Resister Key (PMRKEY) and the Advanced Interrupt Controller Protect Mode values.
- AIC (AIC Protect Mode Enable) is set to run the Advanced Interrupt Controller in Protect mode. If reset, the AIC runs in Normal mode.
