BRUTE is the name our single-board computers that solve control problems through brute force. BRUTE boards contain lots of high-performance I/O and processing power packaged specifically for tough industrial environments. The BRUTEs provide expanded memory, hardware real-time clock, serial ports, opto-isolated digital inputs, digital driver outputs, and multi-channel 12-bit-plus-sign ADC and 12-bit DAC. The high-speed ADC is unique in that its 8 channels (4 channels differential) have individually programmable input gains. Using gain multiplication on low-level signals provides the performance of a 16-bit ADC at a 12-bit price.
