C166 Evaluation Boards C251/C51 Evaluation Boards | Micromint, Inc.Evaluation Boards BRUTE is a single-board computer that solves control problems through brute force. BRUTE boards contain lots of high-performance I/O and processing power packaged specifically for tough industrial environments. The BRUTE320 is an updated version of the original BRUTE52 board that uses the 80C31-compatible Dallas Semiconductor 80C320 chip which turbocharges 8031 program execution. At 33 MHz, a BRUTE320 is an 9-MIPS controller! Along with all this power, the new BRUTEs provide expanded memory, hardware real-time clock, serial ports, opto-isolated digital inputs, digital driver outputs, and multi-channel 12-bit-plus-sign ADC and 12-bit DAC. The high-speed ADC is unique in that its 8 channels (4 channels differential) have individually programmable input gains. Using gain multiplication on low-level signals provides the performance of a 16-bit ADC at a 12-bit price.
