Application Note 232

MDK V5.10 Lab for Freescale Freedom KL25Z Board

This hands-on lab demonstrates various examples with the Freescale MKL25Z128xxx4 Cortex-M0+ processor and Version 5.10 of Keil uVision. The Keil Blinky, RTX RTOS and DSP examples may be downloaded from this web page using the link below. All examples are compliant to Cortex Microcontroller Software Interface Standard (CMSIS v2.0). Instruction trace using the Micro Trace Buffer via Freescale's OpenSDA implementation of CMSIS-DAP, memory reads and writes and the RTX Kernel Awareness Viewer are shown.

A Freescale Freedom KL25Z board and USB A to miniB cable are needed.

If you are using MDK 4.xx:

  • The lab and attached examples in this Application Note are tailored to work with Version 5.10 (or later) of the MDK-ARM tools. If you are using V4.xx of the MDK-ARM tools, please use the lab and examples found at Applications Note 259.
